Your puzzles
Every puzzle is solved in your browser. What you enter, your game progress and your statistics are saved only in your own browser (local storage) so they are still there when you come back; they are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Camera and photos
The cube scanner and the sudoku photo reader ask for camera access only when you press the scan button, and a photo you choose is opened only on your device. Images are read on your device to find colors or digits. No image or video is recorded, stored or uploaded.
Share and challenge links
A share or challenge link carries the puzzle inside the link itself (after the # sign). That part of a link is not sent to any server when someone opens it, and it is not sent to analytics.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4, only with your consent)
When you first visit, a notice asks whether we may use Google Analytics cookies. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics 4 records which pages are visited and a few tool actions (for example that a solver or a share button was used), so we can see which tools people use and what to improve. It never receives the puzzles, moves, times or names you enter, and the part of the address after # or ? is removed before anything is sent. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies whose names start with _ga. If you choose Reject, or do not answer, the Google Analytics script is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; choosing Reject removes the _ga cookies. Your choice itself is stored in your browser (local storage). Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show you ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices. Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they are not personalized.
The ads never use the puzzles, moves or camera images you enter on this site: those stay on your device.
Fonts and other files
Fonts and every other file are served from puzzletip.com itself; pages do not load anything from third-party servers apart from Google Analytics when you accept it and the Google AdSense ads described above.
Hosting
The site is static files served by a hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, page, time) for security.
